Programme Overview

SIM30 is more than a recognition — it is a journey. Through a curated mentorship experience and a pan-African leadership lab, participants will:

  • Join a dynamic community of changemakers under 30
  • Learn from top mentors in sustainability, ESG, policy, innovation, and leadership
  • Develop and implement a personal or community-based sustainability project
  • Engage in storytelling and visibility platforms that elevate their impact
  • Participate in the SESI Summit 2025 and showcase their leadership journey

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Be born after January 1, 1995 (you must be under 30 by December 31, 2025)
  • Be a student, graduate, early career professional, entrepreneur, or researcher working in sustainability, ESG, development, or related fields
  • Have a demonstrated interest or experience in sustainability leadership, advocacy, innovation, or community transformation
  • Have access to a mentor, professor, or supervisor who can support your development or project
  • Be available and committed to participate fully in the programme (Oct – Dec 2025)
  • Be a citizen or resident of Ghana or West Africa
  • Be energetic, collaborative, and excited to engage with others

Rules

Programme Rules and Expectations

  • Applicants must submit original and truthful information. Plagiarised applications will be disqualified.
  • Selected participants are expected to commit fully to the 8-week mentorship programme and actively engage in all assigned activities.
  • Participants must be available for virtual check-ins, workshops, and the SESI Summit 2025 (in-person or virtual).
  • Each participant must submit a final impact reflection or project summary before programme close.
  • SIM30 has zero tolerance for discrimination, harassment, or any form of misconduct. Participants are expected to uphold professional and respectful behaviour throughout.
  • Failure to meet engagement expectations may result in removal from the programme and forfeiture of benefits.

Application Form Overview

The application form will ask you to provide: – Personal and contact details – Academic and professional background – Responses to reflective questions on leadership, sustainability, and your vision – A short video introduction (optional but recommended) – A resume/CV and a reference or support letter (optional) You will also be required to make a declaration of authenticity and consent to the use of your image and participation for media and publication purposes.

Cost of participation:

Free to apply and participate.
Participants are responsible for their own travel and accommodation where necessary. SIM30 will provide all learning, visibility, and participation resources at no cost.
